Teaching Philosophy

In short, I love making music at the piano, and I want my students to love it, too.  My teaching is guided by the idea that this love is fostered through understanding, which is achieved through the development of audiation skills.  In addition to playing piano repertoire, students will engage in movement, listening, and creativity/improvisation activities that will strengthen their audiation.
